I currently live in Pocatello, Idaho. I am willing, though, to travel a bit for some better ceremony and reception sites.

Basic Fees: $3,000.00, plus 6% Idaho Sales Tax (includes $100 non-refundable cleaning deposit)

Rental Fees Include:
Podium with mic./lapel mic/handheld, a limited number of tables and chairs, handcrafted bar, in-house sound system with multi disc CD player and i-pod hook up.

The Historic Shelton

The Shelton can hold both the ceremony and the reception. The events can be indoor or outdoor and can seat 125 guests.

Ceremony Pricing

Ceremony only: $950

Ceremony with Reception Package: $350

Reception Pricing

There are several Reception Packages ranging in price from $1250 for the Elegant Reception to $4750 for the Platinum Reception. They also offer an Exclusive Reception that allows you to customize your package to fit exactly what you need.

How To Plan A Wedding In Two Weeks

Alright, I have chosen to play the role of a bride that has totally procrastinated planning her wedding, and now has to get it planned in two weeks.

As for why a Bride would procrastinate planning her wedding, I have no idea. But no worries... I am here to discover if planning a wedding in two weeks is actually possible.

First things first:

Set the date!! For my wedding I have chosen Friday October 24, 2008 (Two weeks from today)

Now, I'm off to scour the internet for helpful tips and planning ideas.

My First Blog

Ok, so this is my first blog ever... and I am actually really excited. Odd that I would set up my own blog & there is a question about the excitement... well this is all for a Writing class at Idaho State University.

A little about me:

I am a photography student at Idaho State University and I work as a server and bartender in a restaurant here in Pocatello, Idaho. I have roughly two years left, it may be longer if I switch my major to graphic design, and after that I hope to move to a larger city, maybe Portland, OR, and start my career!

I am definately excited to be finished with school, so that I can spend time doing what I really love and only have one job, not two (because school totally counts as a second job!)

Well, I don't really have much else to say at this point. I don't really know where this blog's topic will go because I don't know what my assignment consists of.
